Penny, you will truly be missed. I remember you as fun loving, always upbeat, good sense of humour and pleasant to be with.

Your family and relatives loved you very much and cared for you. Hope you realize what a super sister you had in Mabel. She always had your best interests foremost in her mind. She was close to you and very concerned about seeing your desires and wishes carried out in the manner you desired. She, like you, overlooks faults people have (we all do) and sees rather the good and potential in them.

I am so sorry never got to visit you in Chicago. Really had wanted to and meet your husband. A regret I have to live with the rest of my life. However, it does not take away from the good memories I have of you in your youth and the times we had together. My husband, Royal, remembers you and thought a lot of you. He remembers how funny you could be, easy to get along with and how friendly and outgoing your whole family always are. You certainly had the advantage of being raised in a happy go lucky family, always able to see the good in everything.

I love your family and feel especially close to your mother and sister. Time with them is always well spent. They helped teach you to be generous as they are to others.

I am sorry you are not with us anymore. Our tears have been shed and our thoughts of you remain. Even though I had not seen you in a long time as we were separated by distance, it does not lessen the pain in losing you. You were good company and knowing we cannot get together really hurts. You are missed and will not be forgotten.

Love, Royal and Betty

Dearest Sister -

You were there last Saturday (19th)

It was morning in Lincoln Park

Your friends came and

Georg Solti watched

As the flowers were touched

Nancy read her poetry

We felt your presence

We prayed and said our goodbyes

Your presence was so strong.

You were there.

It was a beautiful sunny day

Nearby people stopped to talk

A musician played his guitar nearby

We strolled through the park

We all went to lunch at Carmine's

You know - on Rush Street

You were there - We felt it.

We passed around pictures of you

When you were young.

We were not sad. We enjoyed the day

What a gal you were.

What a grand tribute to your parting

Penny we will always love you

and remember all the good things

you did for others.

Love - Your big sister, Mabel

Penny,

I remember the good times we had when I visited you in Chicago. I remember you as a generous person. One that enjoyed relatives visiting her. A fun loving person. I remember your passionate love for the Cubs and baseball. You allways enjoyed a good laugh. I can still remember that hearty laugh.

Rest in peace,

Cousin Dennis
