Paula Bahador Obituary

Bahador, Paula (nee Krysztop) 91, of Des Plaines, IL, passed away on February 11, 2016. Devoted wife of over forty years of the late Armenian fine artist and dentist Massis Armen Bahador. Native resident of the Jefferson Park community on Chicago's northwest side where her parents, the late John and Anne (nee Owczarski) Krysztop ran the family grocery for years at 6603 W. Higgins. A graduate of Wright College and DePaul University College of Education, Paula was a longtime elementary school teacher and mentor to many at Holy Trinity, St. Emily's and St. Juliana parishes for the Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago. Paula is survived by cousins, Dorothy Knott of Hendersonville, NC, and Allen Jaroch of Chicago; loving stepcousins, Ann Luski and Adeline Kaczmarek; dear friends, Paula Dodge and Carol Wojtalik, as well as nephew, Jonathan Green; nieces, Christine Shlageter and Mitzi Breaux, and numerous other nieces and nephews from the Bucko, Green, Bahadorian, Kanlian and Krystof families who miss her dearly. Friends and family will gather for interment service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016, beginning at the All Saints Cemetery Office, 700 N. River Road, Des Plaines, IL, 60016. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Little City Foundation, 1760 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine, IL, 60076, or St. Constance Church, 5843 W. Strong St., Chicago, IL, 60630.
