Tobin Family:
It was with immense sadness that I read the Princeton Packet obituary that my Dad forwarded to me on Monday. My wife and I were in NYC on vacation and I had been thinking back to high school days and jobs and the great life we all had in Montgomery.

I remember vividly riding my bike up to Hillsboro to ship and package Shez jerseys to soccer shops around the country. My first job. Your Dad was great to me then and whenever I would see him over the next few years.

Paul, Julie, Lynn (and Paul) know that my family and I are thinking about you during this trying time. I will always remember your Dad so fondly.

Our prayers are with you and your Mom.

Paul and you have done so much to bring true professionalism to the referee community by supplying great quality uniforms, equipment, and other professional attire. Paul's smile and pleasantness was truly missed at the NISOA National Convention in Oneonta, NY. May God give you grace and strength through this difficult time.

August 4, 2007

Marilou:
verry sorry of the passing of Paul.
He changed the way the Referees in soccer look today.
Back in the 80s If you were not a MISL ref and/or NASL ref youre unifom(With he exception of the old English Bulka uniform)did not look as sharp.
Even though the NASL/MISL design was not approved by the USSF for other games,Paul knew that he had to do somthing for the other Referees in USSF.
.When Shez folded, Paul founded Official Sports and he designed the same fabric that the Shez shirt had.
The frist shirt was with thw white color and cuff.
Paul used the ideas of the different color shirt that was used in the NASL .
Over the years,The OSI prouduct became better.(Different color shirts etc etc.)
Our Soccer Referee family(USSF NISOA NFHS) are sorry about youre loss but Paul is now a better place and with God in Heaven.

My very dear friend, I know you are watching me from heaven. All these years you have been a brother to me, in good days and trying ones. You offered me comfort when I had to battle ideas about the "Style" of uniform to display on referees. You invited me to the hotel room only to try with me the finish products. You laughed when it needed a luagh, and you hugged me when we accomplished the impossible. You are resting in peace, amongst the deservant. The legacy you started will continue by the wife, well disciplined children, and many good friends including myself. Yes I am crying, and I still do when I talk about your departure. I can only pray to the mighty Lord to rest you in peace.See you someday.
