Paul Tapia Obituary

Tapia, Paul Age 78 passed away peacefully Monday, November 26, 2012 in Naperville, IL. Paul was a devoted husband for 54 years to Margaret(nee Halverson); loving father of Paul "Chuck" (Dawn) Tapia, Christine (Charles) Braasch, Theresa (Brian) Feeney, and Joseph (Sherry) Tapia; cherished grandfather of Jason, Dominick, Kevin, Jessica, Christopher, Ryan, Jennifer, Tyler, Rachel, Zachary; adored great grandfather of Ivan and Adrianna, and dear brother of Soledad, Mary, Lily, and Josie. He was born on June 5, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Leobardo and Guadalupe (Paez) Tapia. He was one of five children. He is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother, Violet (Wisniewski), and son that died at birth. Paul and Margaret were married on November 27, 1958. They lived in Chicago until 1974 when they moved to Romeoville, IL with their four children. He worked for EcoLab for 32 years until his retirement in 1986. Due to health problems in 2010, he moved to St. Patrick's Residence in Naperville, IL where he was in residence until his death. Visitation Sunday December 2, 2012 3:00PM-8PM at the Anderson Memorial Chapel, 606 Townhall Dr, Romeoville. Funeral Monday December 3, 2012 where he will lie in state from 9:00AM until time of Mass at 10:00AM at the St. Patrick's Residence 1400 Brookdale Rd., Naperville, IL. 60563. Interment, Fairmount Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs, IL. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Patrick's Residence.
