Caroline, My brothers and I grew up with your dad and his family in Chicago on Ada street. Our hearts are filled with sadness for you and your Aunt Jackie and uncles Richard Michael and Billy and their families. Seeing the pictures of your familys reminded me of playing kick the can, spud, and other games on Ada street. We all had so much fun. We all in the hood were like a big family. I remember having street parties with bands and great fun for all. I also remember watching Elvis Presley at Carrie and Paul's house. All the girls from the neighborhood and your dad would have a great time dancing with each other. I'm sure that your dad is dancing in heaven with Grandmother. with watching over you believe in you helping you and holding you closely. Please give my best regards to your family. SorryI didn't get to come up to be with you all. Praying! Sincerely Sheri Anderson Luigs

Dearest Terry and the entire Potacki Family:
Paulie Richie, Terry and family, always supported our Veterans as we met so often at our VFW Post 9545: New Lenox. Paulie was the "Gentle Giant" we all loved so much. With a smile on his face and laughter in his heart, he would greet us with his warm and friendly: "How are ya?" Terry is our Veterinary Specialist whom we have Adored and Love for years! Tho we only met Paulie within the last 2 years, we learned what a wonderful and beautiful person he was. You will be truly missed by so many!
Nazdrowie Paulie: "Here's to You!"
We had been best friends with their late UNCLE EDDIE POTACKI since 1970. Eddie was a Security Guard across the street from where we grew up at Whiting Corp, in Harvey, Ill. We all Loved "Eddie"! Ohhhhh, the stories Eddie would tell us about his family which he loved so much. We laughed and laughed for hours and hours. Paulie had his Uncle Eddie's warm smile and genuine kindness to all he met. So, actually, we feel that we have known Paulie for years and years, through the stories from Uncle Ed.
Paulie, you will be greeted by God's many Angels with opened arms welcoming you home.
We pray for the family for Peace in their Hearts. Time to Heal. Courage to endure. Love from so many of your loved ones and friends.May your Memories of Paulie remain deep in your hearts always; especially on those tough days to bring a smile to your face.
Our Hearts and Prayers are with all of you. Terry, especially for you!!!!
Love,
Ceil (CeCelia) Barclay, VFW Auxiliary, Department Legislative Chairman, Illinois,
Commander Paul W. Barclay, USN, VFW Post 9545 New Lenox, IL,
Scott and of course: Dasher and "Dancer": Certif. Therapy Dog for our Veterans.

Paul was a student in the first class I taught at Lincoln-Way High School. He was a gentle giant and looked out for others in the room while being polite and helpful to me and other teachers. God bless.

I met Pauly, when he and Wendy started dating. I stood up in their wedding, and spent plenty of nights out on the town with them. I met the beautiful daughter they created, several times, when she was a little girl...as well. Eternal peace may you find, now, Paul... You'll be missed by many, but mostly your baby girl, Carolyn. I'm deeply sorry for all the family and friends enduring this tragic/sad loss. May God comfort you all.
