My deepest sympathy with all of Paul's family and friends. Paul was the supreme Christian gentleman. I remember him and his family well from his days at Most Holy Redeemer. He will be remembered in my prayers and Masses these coming days. Fr. F. Schouten

I had the honor and privilege of meeting Paul in 1980 during our formation for the Most Holy Reedemer "Christ Renews His Parish" team. He was an extraordinary Catholic gentleman who was a model for all of us, and who contributed greatly to the team's success. Paul and I had a special bond because, like Paul, I was a Mt. Carmel graduate. I will miss him very much. Jim McCarthy

I was saddened to hear of Paul's passing. He was a wonderful mentor to me as a younger lawyer. For so many years, he was the steady hand, leading our Estate Planning Group at Schiff Hardin. Always even-keeled. Always fair. He had the respect of everyone in the Group. His leadership, and his vision for providing estate planning services at a large law firm, had much to do with the success of the group. Those of us at Schiff who practice trusts and estates owe Paul a great debt.

Paul O'Flaherty, Sr. was a gentleman in the classic and highest sense of the word, someone skilled and accomplished who took his many gifts as a responsibility of service: a wonderful husband and father, an insightful, ethical and service-oriented lawyer, a dedicated Catholic Christian. He always did his best in everything. The world would be a better place if there were more men like he was. Mr. O'Flaherty and his whole family are in my prayers.

Ann, I am so sorry to hear of your dad. I always remember him as such a good and kind man, something he obviously passed along to you. My prayers are with all the O'Flahertys.
