Memories and Condolences

Not sure what to say?

I too had wanted to pass on my condolances to Paul's family. I was raised in the same neighborhood with Paul in E. Lansing and went to school with him. I remember Paul as always being kind and intelligent. In 2002, at our 30th high school reunion, we had the most wonderful conversation sharing our memories about our old neighborhood, grade school and then we talked about our current lives. His love and pride for his family was so very evident and strong-- I came away feeling recharged and uplifted. He was an outstanding individual and will be missed.

Cynthia, Josh, Sammy & Rachel, We were shocked and saddened to learn of Paul's passing (from the Northwestern alumni news). Although you moved years ago, we would see him on the train from time to time. We will always remember his good nature and kindness. Our first encounter with him was when we moved to the house on Jarvis Avenue, next to yours. He saw us casing out our new home and casually observed, "you're admiring your new home: that's a good thing." Our deepest condolences.

I just learned of Paul's untimely passing. We went to Central school together in East Lansing, Michigan, and I will always remember Paul as a wonderful human being. My condolences to his family, who must miss him terribly.

Paul's greatest contribution to this world was his children, whom he loved dearly. Josh, Sammy and Rachel, I wish you all nothing but happiness and success for the rest of your lives. Please know that your father will be with you every step of the way. Your dad was an incredible person and it is so unfortunate that he left us all so early. He was a wonderful, sincere and thoughtful man who endeared much pain in his life for the sake of his children. I loved him dearly, miss him more than anyone will ever know, and would do ANYTHING to have my best friend back..........

I will certainly miss Paul. We were EL '72 classmates and fellow Chicagoans, though we rarely connected outside of class reunions. He always impressed me as being intelligent, thoughtful & kind. My sympathies to Cynthia, Joshua, Samuel and Rachel, Evelyn and Laura.

Dear Cynthia and family:
My wife Cheryl and I just now learned of dear Paul's sudden death. We are so saddened and shocked. I saw him on 11-11-05 at my former partner Dick Sawislak's retirement party and had a wonderful visit with him. I am proud to say I was his mentor at Sweeney & Riman lo these many years ago, and I will miss him deeply.
We will keep all of you in our prayers.

I have had the pleasure to work with Paul for at least 10 years. He was a kind and caring man that always spoke well of his family and he was extremely proud of his children. We are diminished by his loss.

I was certainly shocked and saddened to hear of Paul's sudden and unexpected passing. It seems so unreal to me as I just spoke to him last week on a case I'd referred to him. Paul will certainly be missed. My prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Dear Cynthia and family,
It broke my heart to learn of Paul's untimely passing. I think of Paul often and have wonderful memories of working with him for all those years at Sweeney and Riman. He helped make work to be much more than just a job. My heartfelt sympathy to all of you.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I was terribly saddened when I heard. I worked with Paul at his previous law firm. We had many conversations and discussed his children often. He was a very proud father. I am sorry for your loss.

I was a collegue of Paul working closely with him in the handling of our Ilinois WC claims for the past 2 years.

He was always a pleasure to work with and a wealth of information for someone who needed it to negotiate the mine fields of the Illinois WC system.

His bright smile and sense of humor will be missed. He not only was a collegue of mine but a person that I am very pleased to say was my friend.

I was extremely saddened to learn of Paul's passing this weekend. I knew Paul only for a short time, but he was a very kind man, both personal and professional. He always did whatever he could to help me however he could. He will be deeply missed, but remembered for the great man that he was.

I had the pleasure of working with Paul both in the Chicago office on occasion a few years ago and from the Mishawka office of KPDE. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. Paul was a special person and I alway enjoyed the times I got to see him either in the office or at office social functions. He will be greatly missed by all of us who had the privilege of knowing him. I wish you peace at this difficult time and hope it is some comfort to know how many people's lives he touched.

I was very saddened to learn of the passing of Paul. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel about Paul's death. He brought so many gifts to my life, I will never forget him. "Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones shines down to let us know they are with us." May your hearts and souls find peace and comfort. Peace, prayers and blessings.
