McPhillips, Patrick J. loving father of Carrie (Chris) Jacobs, Brian, Kevin and Christopher, dear son of Patricia and the late Robert, brother of Robert (Karen) and Timothy (Carol), grandfather of Dylan and Gavin Jacobs, uncle of Dan, Tim, Sarah and William, former husband of Rita Lorig and Renee Lovelady, nephew of James McPhillips, Helen Trumbo and the late William Conroy, Edward Conroy and Eleanor Hajek, cousin of Robert, Nancy, Bill, Steve, Scott and the late James. Services Saturday, April 12, 9 a.m. from Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home, 4950 W. 79th St., Burbank, to St. Albert the Great Church. Interment St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 2 to 9 p.m. 708-857-7878 or 773-582-4400.

Pat is my Oldest brother. During his wake my sister-in-law talked about the dash between a persons date of birth and date of death. What was Pat's dash, it was a life celebrated with family, and friends, with laughter, love, pain, sadness, joy, a life taken too soon.
Pat was married twice, and brought four wonderful children into this world. His daughter blessed his life with two beautiful grandchildren.
Pat was in a near fatal motorcycle accident in 1974, in which he was given 24 hours to live, Pat survived those 24 hours, and another approximately 40 surgeries, his broken body endured more than most. Pat continued his talent for painting motorcycles and cars, Pat's artwork was coveted and sought after through his custom paint shop. Pat was also a very talented computer technician. Pat traveled the world working for several major corporations establishing their computer networking systems. Pat was working on merging his artistic talent with his passion for computers by airbrushing computer CPU's.
Pat, you lived through a lot during your time hear. We will miss you deeply, we are all very sad that you have gone, but you will never be forgotten. We know your pain was great, more than we could ever imagine, but know you are pain free. May God bless you and keep you in the palm of his hand.

My condolences to the McPhillips family. I knew Patrick before he married Rita I was at there wedding. Rita and I are old friends from grade school we all use to double date and hang out. I use to go to his parents house with Rita while Pat worked on cars.My name back then was Donna Nichols. God bless you all my prayers are with you for your loss. Pat was a great guy.
