DEAR MRS. DEVEREAUX, I WANT TO EXTEND HEARTFELT SYMPATHY TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. YOU WILL NEVER REMEMBER ME, BUT I WAS IN YOUR 5TH GRADE CLASS AT SAYRE SCHOOL AND YOU BECAME MY ALL TIME FAVORITE TEACHER. I WAS IN YOUR CLASS AT A TIME WHEN YOUR HUSBAND WAS IN SERVICE AND REMEMBER HE MADE A SURPRISE VISIT TO YOU AROUND THE HOLIDAYS. THE CLASS WAS IN SUCH AWE WHEN HE WALKED IN WEARING HIS UNIFORM. I LIVE IN ARLINGTON HTS., BUT SPEND ALOT OF TIME IN BARRINGTON AS MY SISTER-IN-LAW IS A RESIDENT OF THE GARLANDS OF BARRINGTON. I WOULD VERY MUCH LIKE TO VISIT WITH YOU. THIS IS A SAD TIME FOR YOUR FAMILY, BUT I HOPE MANY HAPPY MEMORIES GIVE YOU PEACE. SINCERELY, DELORES MAGELLAN BURKHARDT

Dear Hazel, Paulette, and Pat, Jr.,
Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
Uncle Pat was a joyous person. When I think of him I always see him
smiling or ready to laugh. He was also
a very generous and loving man. He was blessed with a lovely family. I still can't hear the song "Danny Boy"
played without thinking of the smiling
Irishman, Pat. Thanks for lots of
good memories.
Love, Susan Anthone
