When remembering Pat, one can only recall the times when she was there for you, which was all of the time. Her heart was larger than life and her passion for helping people was one of the most wonderful gifts God could have provided to us. Our world will not be the same without her, simply because no one can ever take her place. However, if we learned anything from Pat, it is to give, expecting nothing thereof.

Marlene,
I happened to see your sister's name in the obituary column. She had such a great sense of humor that was much needed in the Business Dept. at Chicago State--I enjoyed her immensely. Later, I ran into her a few times at CPS counselor functions and she was always gracious.
Warm regards to you (and hope you remember me from college!)

God puts people in your life just when you need them, and He certainly did that for me with Pat Marks. I attended Schurz 79-81, which were difficult years. She is one of the people who made me who I am today. She will always have a special place in my heart.

my condolences to the entire family. Pat was always a breath of spring at Schurz, especially with her beautiful smile. She was also always there, when she was called upon for help as a counselor, a teacher or as a friend. she will be sorely missed.

Dear Uncle Don, Cousin Donna and Donny,
We are very sorry to hear of Aunt Pat's passing. In all of life, this, finally, is the very thing for which our faith prepares us...to die. This is why Paul made it a point to share with the Philippians, "For me to live is Christ, to die is gain." Peter (in the first chapter of his first epistle) refers to human suffering in this life as being "for a moment!"
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Donald & family. The news of Pat's passing to Jesus is sour and sweet in our hearts. The sour is the lose of her presence and the love for us all. The sweet is the glory of heaven she is enjoying now. God bless you all Please find joy in your morning and the pain of our lose. The sweet is stronger than the sour. We love you Uncle Wally and Lynn.

Pat our wonderful Club sister was one of the smartest of our group.
She had a wonderful sense of humor but don't bring up the subject of making any kinds of crafts for she would roll her eyes and say WOW how far our club has come.. now we're actually making earrings and bracelets .. what will be next???
She was a warm and caring sister to all of us and she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
