I found-out about Patricia's demise recently, and, am very sorry to hear the same. I met Patricia while working at Guidant, and like many others, really appreciated her friendship, humour and wit. I will remember her for her greatness.

Yesterday I heard of Patricia's passing and today I found this guestbook. I met Patricia while working at Guidant. I so greatly admired her wit, sense of humor, and poise. Patricia was truly a beautiful woman with so many gifts. I am sad to say I have not seen her in several years - I have missed her and will continue to miss her. But I will always remember with great joy our cross country skiing adventures, hot chocolate, monster cookies, and etiquette chats. My thoughts and prayers are with Patricia and with you.

i met patricia while working for guidant, brought together by the curiosity of finding other novice triathletes training for our first triathlon. she was also a regular on our tuesday night bike rides, where she and kirk met... but never told the rest of us that they were dating. she and kirk are dear friends. we're thankful for the time we got to spend with her, and will always treasure those memories.
we'll be there for "patricia's wave" at the turtleman tri.

Kirk and Family, we are so sad to hear of Patricia's passing. We did not know her well but even in those few minutes after a triathon or race Patricia left a indelible mark of kindness and caring. Patricia was a great athelete and a great person and she will be missed. You will be in your prayers.

I am so sad to learn today of Patricia's death. She was my friend. We knew each other from the beginning of our Rector Hall days at DePauw. We then continued our friendship at Kappa and during Winter-Term-in-Mission. She was dear to me. I will always hold her in my heart as one of my true and lifelong friends.
I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Patricia's husband and daughter, and her parents and sisters. I am truly sorry for your loss.

I’m one of Patricia’s Kappa sorority sisters from DePauw. Joy Meeker told me of the sad news. I passed this along to the other Kappas in our class and to the folks at the DePauw alumni office. I have been compiling the slide show for our 20th college reunion and have come across many pictures of Patricia in going through all my old photos…perhaps the funniest is Patricia dressed as Princess Lea from Star Wars our sophmore year. Patricia was always the voice of reason, the calm one, the one with the quiet smile and great sense of humor. My heart felt condolences go out to Patricia's family and friends.

Dear Kirk and Family: I have worked at Guidant for the past 25 years and got to know Patricia over her 15 years at Guidant. We never went running or cycling together, but did discuss various aspects of training and some of the races she had been in. She will be missed by many here at Guidant. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Kirk and family,
I knew Patricia through another friend at DePauw back in the 80s and had the chance to do a Spring Break trip to Colorado our senior year. What a lovely adventurous person. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. She leaves quite a legacy. Sincerely, Anne Ballentine

Patricia was a dear friend of mine in college and I am so sad to hear that she lost her struggle with cancer. Although time, distance and the inevitable responsibilities of adulthood have conspired to limit our contact in recent years, I have never thought of her with less than fond and wonderful memories. I hope her family knows that everyone who knew Patricia in college admired her greatly. I regret that I did not get to share more fully in the rest of her life.

I was fortunate to know and love Patricia from our college days at DePauw. Patricia was one of the funniest, smartest women I know. She was always so full of integrity, and she helped ground her friends at college. I learned so much from her and remember how she enlivened any room she entered.
I regret falling out of touch with Patricia and am deeply saddened by her passing. And I’ll carry her memory with me. I spoke of her strength and courage to my class this morning, reminding them as Patricia had so often reminded me to pay attention to what was most important to us and put our energy there. She taught me this lesson by living it.
Deep condolences to the family in your loss.

For those of us who worked for Patricia,we were the BLESSED ONES!
She was a wonderful boss, mentor, friend and helped me thru a tough time in my life. No matter how tough the day was for us, she always stopped by and made sure we both laughed before leaving work. She helped me see and smell the roses of life. She will be missed by many. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Kirk and Skylar, please accept my condolence for the loss of Patricia. We used to have such fun with the Moore Lake masters' swim. Patricia was funny, bright, and a real beauty. Patricia attended my daughter's (Amanda) funeral in 1998 which meant so much to me. Patricia was a friend. She will be missed.

I had the great fortune to work for Patricia at Guidant - she was a mentor and a friend to me and her delightful sense of humor was one of her most endearing qualities. She was always more concerned about others than herself and even when she was clearly having a hard day she would take the time to inquire how I was. I am at loss for words to describe how much she will be missed but am so grateful for knowing and working for such an intelligent, warm, caring and spirited woman. My thoughts and prayers are with Kirk and Skylar at this difficult time.
