Pat will be remembered and noted for the manner in which she raised her children while Ray was often traveling worldwide as a Management Consultant and information technology guru. She never forgot anyone of their birthday, graduation, Easter or Christmas celebration. Pat possessed unparalleled unselfishness. A visitation will be held Thursday from 3-9 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge. Family and friends will meet Friday at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church, 10621 S. Kedvale, Oak Lawn, for a 10:00 a.m. Mass where she and Ray were among the founding parishioners in 1957. Pat will be cremated and her ashes interred at the National Cemetery of the Pacific (The Punchbowl) in Honolulu, Hawaii, where she and Ray lived while Ray served in the U.S. Army. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St Michael the Archangel Church's building fund in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii onecatholicohana.org. They are replacing a 100 year old church destroyed by a recent earthquake. Pat and Ray have attended St. Michaels for many years while in Kona on vacation and have placed items in the new cornerstone. For information call 708-422-2700.

I was so sorry to hear of your wife's passing. I remember when you were dating your wife and when you went into service and ended up in Hawaii. Before we were married my girl friend ,later became my wife, went to visit you at your home in Hawaii. Nobody was home. She was with her mother on vacation. She said to me today that you lived in a wonderful little cottage. I am so sorry I couldn't come this evening because I'm getting over back surgery. I'm very sorry for your terrible loss Bob Johnson

When I was hanging out with Rich in the 70s, I always found Mrs. Epich to be witty and intelligent with a great sense of humor.
