To the whole family,
What I saw in the last month will forever leave an impression. All of you coming together to make Mom as comfortable as she could be. It was a sure sign that both your Mom and Dad have the greatest kids around.

to marty, kaye, & the daufenbach family-
i am so sorry for your loss. like you, i have my own special memories of pat.
i remember her as a babysitter for my sister cathy, my brother jimmy & me and i remember her being fun! pat & kaye taught cathy & me to jitter bug & let us listen to their 45s (too bad they were all elvis)& showed us how to wear a double pony tail.
i remember pat as being cool! after all pat & kaye were the first groupies i ever knew (too bad it was for elvis). pat & kaye were 'in'-they showed cathy & me how to wear a scarf on our heads-tied at the chin-perched there-oh so cool!
i remember many happy visits to 79th & lafayette. i remember parties!i remember going to church at St. Leo's and shopping at a little store on the corner that sold really skinny balloons.
i remember uncle tommy's meat slicer-he made great sandwiches & told funny stories. he could make a quarter cry & recited 'antonio said to the captain tell us a tale' over & over for us. i remember mr. jones (the dog) who if he was living today could be on david letterman showing how he carried empty beer cans to the garbage.
i remember aunt kate being so happy & sweet-she had a great laugh. i remember her sister 'elsie' & rae ann who lived downstairs.
i remember pat & marty's wedding- such fun-such excitement. i remember family gatherings w/singing & usually some crying & always laughing.
i remember uncle tommy being sick & us spending alot of week-ends together.
i remember pat's children. i remember when it was just a "party of five":
janet-patty-terri-jeanie-& tommy. i remember them visiting our house on eberhardt.
i remember bragging that my cousin was a nurse at christ hospital.
i remember pat. i remember pat leaning over to kiss my mom when she would see her saying 'how you doing aunt mare?'.
i am sad. although we haven't seen much of each other over the past 30+ years-pat is in my memories & i will miss her.

Dear Marty & Family:
Please accept our deepest sympathy upon hearing of Pat's death. We will remember Pat at the summers we all spent at Lawler Park watching the boys (Sharks & Dolphins)playing softball. We had some great summers cheering the teams on. Pat is with her family in heaven where there is no pain or suffering.
