Patricia Beck Obituary

Beck, Patricia L. 86, of Iowa City, longtime resident of Skokie, IL died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Patricia Lee (Rerucha) Beck was born April 28, 1926, in Wakefield, Michigan, the daughter of Ernest and Ruth (Corbin) Rerucha. She graduated from Leyden High School in Franklin Park, IL, and later she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin. Patricia married Jack H. Beck in August of 1953 in Chicago. The family made their home in Skokie, IL for many years, where she worked as an administrative assistant at Bell & Howell, and later for the Village of Skokie. She was a member of the North Suburban chapter of the AAUW for many years. Patricia and Jack moved to Iowa City in 2010 to be near their son Philip, who lives here. Her family also includes her son, Roger Beck of Wheaton, IL; her brother and his wife, Russell and Lois Rerucha, and their children, Jill and Scott, all of the Seattle area.
