Owen M. Brennan "Mike", age 84, at rest June 18, 2023; Beloved husband of 59 years to the late Patricia (nee Boland) Brennan; Loving father of Karen Herron, Mike (Sandy) Brennan, Jayne (Monte) Seyer, Amy (Mitch) Grubisic, Megan (Todd) Ahsmann, Maureen (Matt) Borowicz, and Matt (Matt Hilshorst) Brennan; Cherished grandfather of Erin (Steve) Ditman, Lauren & Anne Brennan, Colleen & Kelly Herron, Megan, Abby & Maeve Seyer, Molly & Nora Grubisic, Paige & Owen Ahsmann, Declan & Mackenzie Borowicz; Dear son of the late Owen and the late Mary (nee Mullin) Brennan; Fond brother to the late Thomas (Breda) Brennan and Maureen (Thomas) Nyhan; Uncle and brother-in-law to many; He devoted his life to family, especially his wife Pat, kids and grandkids, attending every special moment and sporting event; He will be fondly remembered as a seasoned volleyball coach for more than 40+ years, he was the owner of the National Championship winning Celtic Force Volleyball Club and owner of Palos Courts; A graduate of DePaul University, he had a successful business career serving as a mentor and leader to many during his 55+ years at Tripp Lite; He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and as a civic leader as a Chicago Ridge Village Trustee and in a variety of positions for Our Lady of the Ridge School; A lover of a good Irish tune or a toe tapping version of Sweet Caroline, he appreciated a good card game and sharing a pint with friends; He enjoyed watching the White Sox, Blackhawks, the History Channel and his horses, especially when they won a race; A mentor and friend to many, his friendly laugh, quick wit and big heart will be missed by all; Visitation Sunday 3:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Funeral Monday 9:00 a.m. from Curley Funeral Home, 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge 10:00am Mass to Our Lady of the Woods Church, 10731 W. 131st St., Orland Park; Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery; Mass will be live-streamed; In lieu of flowers, donations in Owen's name to Misericordia would be appreciated; For Funeral info: (708) 422-2700 or www.curleyfuneralhome.com
