Oscar Williams Obituary

Oscar Newton Williams, 76, of Groves, Texas died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. He was born on October 8, 1931 in Leesville, LA. to Jasper Newton Williams and Creassie Graham Williams. Oscar was retired as an operator with Texaco Oil Refinery after 41 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in the signal corp. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Reverend Rodney Miller will be officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 p.m. Thursday in Old Shiloh Cemetery in Rusk County. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Oscar is survived by his daughter; Ronna Ann Smith and husband, Cody, of Port Neches, TX., two sons, Oscar Randall Williams and wife, Karen, of Orange, TX. and Rodney Joe Williams and wife, Cindie, of Leesville, LA. two sisters; Norma Fiacco of St. Augustine, FL., and Sarah Roberts of Leesville, LA.; three brothers; Thomas Earl Hoyt of Groves, TX., Norman Hoyt of Port Neches, TX., and Charles G. Hoyt of Port Arthur, TX., eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
