Margaret McGregor Obituary

Margaret “Peggy” Joan Austin McGregor, age 76, died Sunday, February 29, 2004 in Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. McGregor was born on August 14, 1927, in East Orange, New Jersey, the daughter of the late Marvin Lawrence “Larry” and Emily Lynskey Austin. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church.

Mrs. McGregor married Vincent Robert “Bob” McGregor, Sr. on July 2, 1949 in Bronx, New York.

Surviving with her husband is a daughter, Pat Drahos of Stephens City, Virginia; a son, Vincent R McGregor, Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Frederick County, Virginia; six grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren, and one sister, Edith Hilbert and her husband, George Hilbert, of Black Mountain, North Carolina.

A Memorial Mass will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Michael Kelly officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel, on Wednesday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM with a Rosary service at 8:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions to ABBA Pregnancy Care Center, 2438 Valley Avenue, Winchester, Virginia 22601 or C-CAP, P. O. Box 2112, Winchester, Virginia 22604.
