Odesta Shy Obituary

Shy, Mrs. Odesta (1939-2018) Odesta Shy grew up in Vicksburg, MS. She relocated to Chicago in 1960. She was born January 14, 1939, at rest August 22, 2018. Beloved wife of John D. Campbell, a union of 47 years. She loved to socialize and shop. She served as a social worker for Department of Human Services for 44 years. High school and college graduate. She was much loved and will be dearly missed. She leaves behind her six children, Donna, Michael, Deborah, Patrick, Kenyatta and Zaneta; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Odesta, we love you dear sister, wife, mother, aunt, and grandmother. Funeral Services are Saturday, September 1, 2018, 9:30 a.m. Wake and Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment immediately following to St. Casimir Cemetery. You are not alone during this time of sorrow and pain. May God give your family strength and comfort to help you endure this loss. As you remember your beloved one, the God of peace give you comfort and peace in every way.
