Nora D. Estrada, 73, of Chicago, IL, passed away on September 18, 2023. She was born on January 8, 1950, in Coahuila, Mexico. She dedicated her life to raising her five children with unwavering love and devotion. She created a home that was a place of warmth and comfort where she instilled values of kindness, compassion and the importance of education. Nora attended Francis W. Parker High School and furthered her education in her adult years where her dedication and perseverance earned her a Bachelors degree from Mundelein College. She had a never ending thirst for knowledge and surrounded herself with books from all genres. Nora is survived by her husband, Marco, and their children: Leticia (Shanya), Marco, Juan (Andrea), Mercedes and Cesar (Lillian). She is also survived by her sister, Maria (Gamaliel), and her brothers Juan (Olga) and Raul (Estella). Nora will be deeply missed by her children and nieces, Monica (James), Carolina, and nephews Michael (Jenny), Gamaliel (Leanne), Raul, and Ivan. She was a cherished grandmother to Mia and Cecilia. Nora was preceded in death by her mother, Maria del Carmen, her father Juan, her brother David (Diana), and her fur baby Cosita. Family and friends are invited to attend a ceremony to celebrate Nora's life. The services will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home, located at 1458 W Belmont, Chicago, IL, on September 29th from 4pm to 8pm. Lakeview Funeral Home in Chicago, IL, is assisting the family with the arrangements for Nora's passing. Nora will always be remembered for her loving nature, compassionate spirit, and selflessness. May her soul rest in peace, and may her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
