Nick, you were one of the most amazing people I've ever met. During a time when it seemed as if the whole world were against me, you were there to befriend me. I'll never forget staying at Steak'n'Shake until 3 in the morning with you and Pierre. That was one of the best nights of my life. Thank you for your kindness and warmth. You will never be forgotten. Everyone who met you is a blessed person, know that! We all miss your presence at Maine
West!

A young boy continues to do well and make great strides daily. It is all thanks to Nicholas and the unselfish decision he made to donate his liver. I pray for you and your family daily. Thank God for you. Thank you.

Nick was a friend of mine in middle school and he had the best sense of humor. He was and still is a wonderful person. I was so saddened when I heard the news, but I am so glad to have known him!

My loving son, I can't believe that you have been gone for over a month. Yesterday, I returned to the hospital (not an easy journey), for a memorial service. They celebrated all the children and babies who had died recently. The chapel was full of families, all of whom had lost a son or daughter. It was so difficult to be there. To see and feel all the sadness and loss. To know that I was now a member of this awful elite club. But as hard as it was, I couldn't imagine not being there to represent you. To honor you. To light your candle as they said your name. I miss you so much. I believe that you are in a better place, but all the people you left behind have massive holes in their hearts that time will never heal. Yes, our lives will go on but nothing will ever be the same. My love for you grows every day. I feel you in my soul almost as I felt you inside my womb. Know every minute that you are loved and missed.

I was so sorry to hear of Nick's tragic accident. I first met Nick as an energetic preschooler and later had the opportunity to watch him grow into a hard-working high school student. During a recent visit, Nick described his successes and talked excitedly about his future plans. I was so proud of him and could see how proud he was of himself! Nick will truly stand out as a very determined young man with a bright smile and heart warming laugh. He was the kind of student all teachers hope for but few are fortunate enough to know. My deepest sympathy to the Poto family at this difficult time.

Nicholas was an angel sent down from Heaven to help others. He was able to save a little boy with the donation of his liver. I only wish that there were more people like him put on this earth. Thank you for everything Nicholas. May you rest in eternal peace.

I knew Nick since freshman year through common friends, and soon became friends. We then started to hang out outside of school last year when he dated jackie. He was a very loving guy. When he was around there was never a dull moment everyone smiled when he walked into the room. He could lite up a room with his smile that was extremely contagious. He loved telling jokes and just being able to step out of his comfort zone without even stoping to think what other people thought of him for a second. He was always there when you needing a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on. He will be missed dearly. It hurts to see that he is gone, but he is now in a better place having the party of his life right now. He will always be looking down on us from heaven smiling. Nick being the person who is he wouldn't want us to cry over his death, but to celebrate that he is now in a better place. He never liked seeing people down. The memories in which we had will live on forever!
**Nick RIP I WILL MISS YOU MORE THAN WORDS CAN DESCRIBE THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING IN WHICH YOU HAVE DONE FOR ME YOU HAVE GIVEN ME HOPE AND MADE ME BELIEVE IN MYSELF! I WILL NEVER FORGET ALL THE MEMORIES THAT WE HAD TOGETHER FROM RIDING IN MY CAR ON BEAN BAGS, THE FOOD FIGHT FRESHMAN YEAR, THE FOOTBALL GAMES, JACKIES BIRTHDAY PARTY, AND SO MANY MORE! MAKE SURE THAT YOU SAVE US ALL A SPOT IN HEAVEN NEXT TO YOU SO THAT WE CAN GO AND JOIN THE PARTY UP THERE WITH YOU! I LOVE YOU!**
