Nicholas Caruso Obituary

It's been a year that we lost a great man, and not a day goes by that I don't miss him and think of a time I had with Mr. C. I thank him for so much and his family.

NICK WAS A GREAT MAN, ALWAYS FROM THE HEART, YOU COULD FEEL THE SINCERITY WHEN HE SPOKE. HE WASN'T ONLY LIKED BY THOSE WHO KNEW HIM, BUT LOVED.WE HAD SOME GREAT TIMES WITH JILLY, DINNERS, ALOT OF LAUGHS, HE WAS THE BEST. I KNOW HE LOVED THE LORD, SO HE'S IN THE GRACE OF GOD. Never was a warm and gracious gentleman as Nick. From the time I had the fortunate opportunity to have been befriended by Nick through my beloved friend Jilly, I had always seen why he was so well admired . He will be missed dearly.

Nick and I shared many fonds memories together. He'll be missed by many, me included.

Nicky Suits, you were one classy guy who helped everyone. Someone you can always count on as a friend, to be there for you. Rest in peace and make sure you have a drink with Frank & Jilly.

We have such fond memories of Nick. He was a loving, thoughtful, kindhearted man who was loved and respected by many. We will miss him terribly. Our heartfelt sympathy is extended to his entire family. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I only met Nick a few years ago but he always made me feel welcome. I'll never forget sitting in front of Jilly's on a summer day listening to stories Nick told of Mr.Sinatra.

I can truly say that Nick, Sr. "always" made you feel welcome. He was a very warm, kind and special man who told great stories.

It was a pleasure and honor to know him. God bless him and his wonderful family.

I knew Nick from Playboy when I was a bunny at the Chicago Club. He also knew my father George who worked at the club as well. He was always VERY kind and generous. He was surrounded by so many friends. May God bless you and yours in your time of grief.

Dear Pat and Family,

We were sad to hear of Nick's passing. I know that your loving family will be a comfort to you. The kindness that you and Nick extended to us will always be remembered. He will be missed.

My love, prayers and sincere condolences on Nick's untimely passing. He will truly be missed by all who had the privilege and pleasure of knowing him. He celebrated life to the fullest -- his genuine wit, personable charm and strong, loyal values defined him. Word travels fast amongst the St. Ignatius High School Class of '54 when we lose one of our own.



The Jesuits roughed us up alot back then so we drew closer together to survive and graduate.



Being of Italian descent myself added to my personal bond with Nick. We will remember him as a "good guy" that always needed a shave. You all have my sincerest sympathy.

Deepest sympathy to the Caruso family on the loss of Nick. He will be missed by all who knew him whether at St Iggies or on Rush St.

To the Caruso Family, I had the pleasure of working for you many years ago at Jilly's and I want you to know how sadden I am about the news of your loss. I knew Nick as "uncle Nick" and he will be missed by all that knew him. Please accept my deepest sympathy.
