He was the only Uncle that ever tried to help me when I needed advice for my education. I will miss him dearly even though I did not seen him for some years. I will never forget our chess games as he taught me the game from the beginning. He sent me a post card in 2004 and I have it tacked up on my board so I can read /remember his humorous side, when he wrote about "we don't have a Sammy but we have a Blackstone".
My sincere sympathy to my Aunt Jean and all my cousins.

We were very proud and honored to have Dr. Brewer as a long-serving member of the American Veterinary Medical Association. His contributions to the veterinary profession and society at large were significant, and we will miss him.
Please accept our condolences on behalf of all of us at the AVMA .
