Nathalie Nathan Obituary

Nathan, Nathalie J. "Pooky" of Phoenix, AZ, died on January 5, 2004, she was the wife of the late Marvin "Buddy" Nathan and the beloved mother of Tom (Colleen), James (Talley) and Bob (Carla), cherished grandmother of Lindsey, Casey, T.J., Jamie, Max and Brenner, loving sister of Merv Retchin and Pat Schwartz and the late Jack Mervis, Joy Drucker and Esther "Tweet" Dry. Dedicated volunteer at the Francis W. Parker School, Lincoln Park Zoo Nursery and the Womens' Auxiliary of the Jewish Children's Bureau. Private service will be held. The family will be receiving visitors on Friday, January 16, 2004, at the home of Tom and Colleen Nathan, 817 Central Ave., Wilmette, IL, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Contributions may be made to the Lincoln Park Zoological Society, Children's Zoo Fund, 2001 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL, 60614 or the Francis W. Parker School Scholarship Fund, 330 W. Webster, Chicago, IL, 60614.

Although I never met your mother I knew through brief conversations, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. Not to mention a great decision maker for her decision to locate here to the Valley. Please accept our condolences for your loss, our hearts go out to you and the family.
