Naomi Thomas Obituary


Family-Placed Death Notice

Mrs. Naomi Hughie Thomas age 81 of Marietta, formerly of Atlanta, died Friday. Funeral service will be held 12:00 p.m. Monday from the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna with the Revs. Greg Wilson and Harris Fennell officiating. Burial will be in Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Thomas graduated from Commercial High School in Atlanta in 1939, was a member of Smyrna Assembly of God for 39 years, and was a homemaker. Surviving are sons, James C. Thomas of Austell; Lawrence W. Thomas Jr. of Gainesville; daughters, Sandra Brown and Becky Thomas of Marietta; Sharon Jennings of Hiram; Susan Savage of Powder Springs; 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Those who wish may make contributions to the American Lung Association. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

We are all so sorry to hear about Aunt Naomi. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We wish we could be there . We loved her very much. She is with all of our loved ones in heaven now. We will be in touch later.
