Nancy Hawkes Obituary
Hawkes, Nancy (nee Parliament), age 79, of Glenview, formerly of Deerfield, passed away June 30, 2008. Beloved wife of Albert Kilgour Hawkes, loving mother of Grace (Peter) Nielsen of Bend, Oregon, Emily (Richard) Bland of Stowe, Vermont and the late John (Letty) Hawkes of Glenview, cherished grandmother of Sarah, Geoffrey and Samuel Nielsen, Claire, Susan and George Hawkes and Zachary, Alexandra and Theodore Bland, dear sister of Bette Jane (Robert) Kohn of Highland Park, aunt of Edward (Pelin) Kohn, the late Carrie Lynn Kohn and many other Hawkes' nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 9th, at 1 p.m., at St. Gregory's Episcopal Church, corner of Deerfield and Wilmot Roads, Deerfield, IL. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Gregory's Missions Board, 815 Wilmot Rd. Deerfield, IL, 60015. Our prayers, thoughts and sympathies go out to the whole family. Nancy was a wonderful, classy and beautiful woman whom we all adored and loved. She helped produce a wonderful family, full of spark, character and strength. It was a blessing to be able to be a part of her life.

Nancy and Al and their families are an important part of our lives. We cherish our times with them and will never forget Nancy for her kindness, friendship and love. We were fortunate to be with her and Al when she went to Heaven, which in our view is a certainty!
