Nancy Conway Obituary

Conway, Nancy J.

Nancy J. Conway passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the age of 64. Dedicated mother of Megan (Eric) Meister and grandmother of Elise and Avery. Preceded in death by her mother and father, Lois (nee Siegl) and Patrick Conway. Devoted sister to Susan (Lawrence) Chiles, Patrick Conway, Michael Conway and the late Timothy (Terri) Conway. Loving aunt to nine nieces and nephews and five great nieces and nephews. Reliable and trustworthy to countless cousins and friends.

As a single mother, Nancy was fiercely protective of her daughter while ensuring she was as loved and connected to her family as she had been herself. Her journey through motherhood was often difficult, as many are in her situation, but she was never without the help or support from those closest to her. As she progressed through life, she was always willing and happy to pay that support forward, offering help or guidance to any that asked.

Nancy was a notorious wanderer, but was never lost. Constantly curious and exploring, she adored new places as well as nature and all its eccentricities, especially anything botanical or geological. She was always at her happiest while embarking on new adventures with her loved ones, as nothing was more important to her than spending free time with her family and dog, Lexi.

A closed memorial will be held at a later date for immediate friends and family. Donations can be made in her name to DuPage Animal Friends (dupageanimalfriends.org).
