Myrna Rodriguez Obituary

Rodriguez, Myrna F. November 24, 1936 January 9, 2012 passed away peacefully and gently in her home in Chicago, Illinois. Myrna was born and raised in Chicago. She was a gemologist with a passion for all music, especially classical, jazz and Latin. She was an only child born to the late Marie and George Kwet. Myrna was the beloved mother of Brenda Rodriguez, Monica Cimino, Rowena Scholtens, and Jeffrey Stahler; grandmother of Cameron, Nicolas, Jacqueline, and Paul. She will be missed by her dear friend Joanie Moline and piano teacher Peter Scheiner, amongst other countless friends, family members and acquaintances who were blessed to know and interact with her. Myrna touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained consideration of others and sense of humor all the way to the end. Myrna loved playing and listening to all music. She was a musician at heart and dedicated to studying and performing classical and jazz piano. She loved being with her children and grandchildren, having fun with friends, and enjoying the most simple pleasures of life. She lived a life of conscious joy and expressed expansive gratitude for the time she had on earth. Our sweet mom has launched us to living a conscious and passionate life. She has been an inspiration to us. And though she has left this physical realm, her love and spirit remains and continues to illuminate our hearts. The family requests all donations be sent In Memoriam to the wonderful people who gave such tender care to Myrna during her time of need at Family Centered Hospice, 2171 Executive Drive, Suite 450 Addison, Illinois, 60101; (866) 320-3300; or Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60607; (312)-738-7560 or (877)-24-START.

Your mother was an absolute wonderful lady and I wanted to send my sympathy. I work at a neighborhood pharmacy and it was so nice to see her smiling face and her "How are you" when she came into the store. She will surely be missed. May she rest in peace!!
