Myles McGowan Obituary

I did not know Myles, but I have heard of about him from his sister Kirsten. From what I heard he was a courageous brave lad who was determined age his young age. May the good Lord continue to bless and comfort this family knowing that Myles is very much at peace.

Auntie misses you so much but I know that you are spitting spider webs all over heaven and you are watching over us. I love you so much and I know that you are never far because you will always be in my heart.

The continuos messages and strong memories of our little Angel help us make it from day to day. We are dealing with the things that we can not change but holding on dearly to our thoughts and memories that remain the same! My Baby Boy will always live on in our hearts! Love you, Mommie

Well the holiday's send all kind of messages but the overall one message is love will prevail all things. My son just loved people and he always would give people funny names like pickle, billy goat, for the nurses and for his stuffed animals he would say Tody, and ham i just dont know what was going thru. his mind he was so funny!! Love you little guy mom dad and kirsten. Look over us up there and one day we will see each other again.

I work with Myles' Grandma Eddie. Through her Myles gained a special place in the hearts of her co-workers. Just know that we are still praying for the family.

Swan, Jeff and of course Kirstin... I don't know exactly how to put it in words... You guys as a family have shown me a lot about LIFE and FAITH. Throughout this last 11 months Myles has shown his auntie how to "fight" for what you believe in. To see my sister's face in March when we got the news that you were moving his legs on demand was amazing!!!! To God be the Glory! Earth has no sorrow, that Heaven can not heal. There are no memories that anyone can steal. I never had the opportunity of meeting Myles. However, I do remember the text messages and/or email about the good days and the not so good days.I thank God for bringing such a young, strong soldier into the lives of so many. His strength and determination at such a young age has put so much into perspective.
Continue to lean on God's promise that he will never leave you or forsake you and that Myles is resting (as the songwriter says)"...in the arms of Jesus".

I never met Myles personally. I work with his Aunt Tasha in Birmingham, AL. Myles took a special place in my heart when he first had the surgery for the tumor. Tasha kept me up to date - the good, the bad and the ugly. We laughed and cried together many times. I thank God for allowing me to share this special time with Myles. He touched so many lives, as you can see from this guest book - Chicago to Alabama. My prayers and thoughts are with Myles' family and friends as they go thru this difficult time. But oh the joy in knowing we will all be together again in Heaven, reunited with Myles. That's God's promise! God's love and time will ease the pain.

We were not fortunate enough to know Myles in life but know this; he has truly changed our lives and opened our eyes to see what and who truly matters; family and loved ones. I never met Myles, but I am Eddie Gilbert's close friend, and I know how dear he was and how much he was loved by everyone who knew him. I remember the joy in her voice the day she told me of his birth and announced his name to me (we talked about how presidential his name was). We are so sorry that he and his beloved family had to suffer through his illness and their many tragic losses. There are just no words to describe our empathy for his and his family's experiences in this world. From Birmingham, AL, our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I meet your loving family 4 years ago thur sherida Allen at a bday party at her house and Mlyes was 2 months old then and we have seen each other at may other events through her. I have been praying for the entire family for strenght and conplete healing. A new flower has sprounted up in the garden up in heaven on april 19. Well our little angel will be busy at work because many of us need watching over. You know I owe everything to my angel. She's always steering me in the right direction and out of harms way.
