I also knew Moshe Samber when he supervised classes in the South Suburbs. In fact, I was one of the teachers he supervised. I always enjoyed when Moshe sat in my class because he would watch me with a warm smile, and I would feel his respect and appreciation for the work I was doing (plus the kids would be on their best behavior!). He always had a kind word to say after my evaluation, and always gave good advice. He was a role model for me in many ways. My sympathies go out to his entire family. A donation was made in his memory to the Norman Kleinman Lecture Fund at the Torah Learning Center in Northbrook.

Dear Adam and the Samber family,
I am so sorry to hear of your father's passing. It was always a great pleasure for me to run into him in shul; he always had a steady stream of humorous remarks ready. Even now in my mind I can see his smiling face, his lips quivering-just about to say something funny or nice.

Moish was a very special person. He always had a kind word and a genuine smile. He always asked how I was doing and always had time to listen.
He was the type of person you never forget. I won't.

I knew Moshe when he was with the old Chicago BJE and supervised religious schools in the southern suburbs. He was always kind to me and dedicated to his work. May his memory be for a blessing.
