Morris Fishman Obituary

One of the nicest guys I´ve ever known. He taught me theology at Loyola University back in the mid-1980s. Great attitude, humble, a very peaceful man. I learned a lot from him.

My most heartfelt condolences to the entire family, especially to Abbey.

One of my dearest friends in Danville, IL, was Rabbi Fishman. For all these years I have stayed in touch with him by letter, and he has lovingly responded. He was my mentor, my friend. I shall miss the presence of him, the learning, the warmth.

With a few other former employees of Chicago State Hospital and Chicago-Read MHC, I just learned last night of Morrie's death.



I and others saw him as a gentle but courageous man who did not hesitate in speaking out on behalf of others who could not or did not speak for themselves.

Lala, I hope that your grief will not last too long and that your memories of him give you consolation. You knew him better than any of us ever could . Adam Fikso, Ph.D.
