Mitchell Nytko Obituary

Nytko Sr., Mitchell Joseph 80, of Frederick, died Saturday April 26, 2008, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Beatrice E. Geesey Nytko. Born December 27, 1927 in Chicago Illinois, he was the son of the late Frank and Agata Kocal Nytko. Mr. Nytko served his country in the United States Marine Corps , he was a member of the AM Vets Post # 2 of Frederick, a Life member of the Juniors VFC, the Patriotic Club and he additionally worked with Modern Lighting and Hahn Electric until his retirement in 1991. Mr. Nytko is survived by his brother Chester Nytko , his sisters Helen Szmanski and Florence Kruk all of Chicago, ILL., numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends including William Krueger and wife Dianna, Ronald Young, John Smith, Raymond Frye, the Tyeryar Family and all his neighbors that affectionately knew Mitch as the Mayor of East 6th Street . Mr. Nytko was preceded in death by three brothers Joseph , Stanley and John Nytko. Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 29, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m., at the Keeney and Basford P.A. Funeral Home 106 East Church. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 30th, at 10 a.m. from the funeral home. Deacon John L. Manley will officiate. Interment will be at the Mount Prospect Cemetery, Lewistown.
