Jennifer and Family,
I am so deeply sorry to hear about Mitch's passing. He was a wonderful man, erudite, extremely funny, and a very caring person. I met him while he was in law school, and the fun our group of guys and girls shared for a short time are very special memories. Mitch was always focused on what he wanted to achieve, and he succeeded. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was sorry to hear of Mitch Mars passing. I saw him in court and I always thought what a smart smooth person he was. He was a natural at doing his job. I thought he seemed to be a very kind person and fair as could be. Everyone he ever knew will have a great loss of his physical being but will have a great memory of who he was in their hearts forever.

It was hard for me hear and harder to accept that Mitch Mars is no longer in the world. The glint in his eye, sharp sense of humor and gentle laugh we all remember from law school will always be with me. He loved truth, laughed at pretense and lived a life that makes me proud to have known him as a friend. May God be with you Jennifer and all of the family.

Jennifer & Family:

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones during this time. I worked with Mitch in the 1980's as a secretary at the Strike Force. He was the consummate professional and had a sharp legal mind. I remember how funny he could be. He will be missed terribly. Please know that Mitchell will be remembered fondly by all the people with whom he came in contact.

Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss. I was schocked to learn of Mitch's passing, just after completing the successful prosecution of his career case. He surely was a dedicated Prosecutor, and his sense of humor made him so easy to work with during my days at IRS, CID, from which I retired in 1994. Mitch was truly a Team Player in working cases that required a lot of coordination between different Federal Agencies. He will be sorely missed at the US Attorney's Office. Please take comfort in knowing that Mitch has gone on to his reward in Heaven for being an Honest and dedicated Prosecutor.

To Jennifer and family:
Mitch,
What a blessing to have known you and worked with you shortly after law school. Always with an engaging smile, sharp as a tack, tight lipped as a recoiled turtle, funnier than a comic book, you were a positive professional and one of the most prolific legal talents and trial strategists I have ever met. I'll miss your sly smile. My prayers are with Jennifer and your family.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mitch; a person who I had worked with while assigned to the Chicago Office, FBI and deeply respected and admired. I returned to Chicago to tesify in the Mob Trial and watched Mitch as he successfully prosecuted the mob leadership. A feat that will go down in Chicago history. Much more, he was a great guy who lived practicing honor and integrity. May God bless you and your family in your time of sorrow.

I was shocked to hear of the death of Mitch Mars.

I want to say one of my HONORED memories was being invited and sitting and talking with Mitch, at the new FBI office Christmas party in Dec/06.

The memory of Mitch will live on in my mind, through each article I read in my life in regards to organized crime where the great Prosecutors and FBI agents continue to fight it.

I know his KNOWLEDGE and GREAT LEADERSHIP has been passed on.

Thank You, GOD for the time you have lent him to us. It has been greatly appreciated.

My THOUGHTS and PRAYERS go out to his family and colleagues.

Sincerely,
T. MCINTYRE
