In My Pocket

I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.

My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.

They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.

Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.

But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

Dear Lil, Ann and family,
My heart is with you. In truth there are no words for the loss of someone dearly loved, only remembrance of the joy and uniqueness they brought to our lives.

To all of the family members of Mike Czarkowski. There are many things we would like to say. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of grief in the loss of your loved one. We can no longer talk with Mike, we can no longer write to him, we can no longer shake hands with each other. When God created the famiy, he must have meditated a long time. There had to be a Husband, a Loving Father, and an Uncle. Mike filled those roles very well. As passing years fly by, there will always be many fond memories, many pictures that cannot die. We know you can never lock Mike out of your hearts. He was a loyal, exceptionaly gifted co-worker at ITW, a competitor in sports. Always made someones life worthwhile with a smile. His sudden departure from this world certainly brought tears to many eyes. God picked up Mike, hugged him and said "I welcome you."
