Cohen, Mildred A. 86, passed away December 14, 2002, in Skokie, IL, beloved wife of the late Morris G., cherished mother of Ellen (Jim) Tyack of New Hampton, NY and the late Deborah (Melvin) Oster, proud and loving Grandma Millie of Steven (Elizabeth) Oster, Howard Oster and Max Tyack, and great-grandmother of Rachel and Aaron Oster, devoted daughter of the late Alex and Mollie Weiss Appel, loving sister of the late Minnie Bordman, Sara Schklair, Joseph Appel and David Appel, dearest aunt of Judith Jaffe, Edward (Marlene) Jaffe and Ellen (Robert) Meadow, special cousin of Gail (Okoronkwo) Umehan. Millie loved books, museums and plays and enjoyed raising money for her favorite charities. She loved her family and will be greatly missed by us all. Service Monday, 12:30 p.m. at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St.), Skokie, IL. Interment Shalom. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brandeis University National Women's Committee, 1830 Johns Drive, Glenview, IL 60025 or Hospice of the North Shore, 2821 Central Street, Evanston, IL 60201. Your daughter, Ellen and I have been friends since the second grade so you and Morrie have been in my life for just as many years. I will always remember our youthful days with love and laughter. We will all miss you.
