Please accept my sympathy. Mike will be greatly missed by not only his family but the young men that he mentored and everyone at De La Salle Institute. I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Mike, with Joe and Patty. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Heartfelt and prayerful condolences from the people of Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Bridgeport. We are happy to open our church to your family for Mike's funeral Mass. He was remembered here this past weekend at all Masses and will again be remembered at all Masses here this coming weekend; all are welcome. May his family and friends know the healing touch of Jesus Christ during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers with the Vitek family during this difficult time. In the years I worked with Mike, three things were always very clear to me: his love for his family, his love for ALL kids and his love for De La Salle!
My favorite St. John Baptist De La Salle writing states that when an educator's Judgment Day arrives, he will have to give an account as to how well he cared for the children under his care during his time on earth. The good news here means that Mike already is with the Lord.....and got in easily!!!
