Dear Lynn,
I never met u but I met Mike a couple times at the bar with a friend. He was very gracious and really cared about his patrons and was from the old school of how to treat people.

Dear Family-
Though I did not know Michael, I enjoyed the special times I've had with good friends at his establishment. His influence was far-reaching and he touched many people's lives. He will be missed.

"MY BOSS"
MY BOSS WAS SPECIAL TO ME BECAUSE-
HE HAD ALWAYS ACCEPTED ME
FOR THE PERSON THAT I AM
HE DIDNT YELL ABOUT THE MISTAKES
THAT I MADE
BECAUSE HE KNEW I WILL LEARN
FROM THEM
HE TAUGHT ME TO BE A STRONG INDIVIDUAL BUT ALSO TO KNOW
WHEN TO BE SOFT
HE SHOWED ME THAT LIFE IS NOT EASY
BUT THE TOUGH TIMES MAKE YOU APPRECIATE THE GOOD ONES
HE ALWAYS WAS PROUD OF MY ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND HAS BEEN
SUPPORTIVE OF MY FAILURES
I AM GRATEFUL AND ALWAYS WILL BE
FOR HAVING MIKE AS MY BOSS.
REST IN PEACE MIKE, TILL WE MEET AGAIN. LOVE LU

I have Known Mike (or should I say he has known me) At the age of 10 (in 1977) my friends(the Scherps) and I Use to pass out flyers for him! I have to say even though He would give us 5$ each,,(big money in "77") he would always feed us(after the flyers were gone of course) and let us have all the pop we wanted! You know It just didnt end there!! Mike was a man that made us come back for more. He was a true man of his word and a TRUE friend..As for myself I have gone in and talked mike as much as my life has allowed (as well as John and Mike)I am 38 now and will miss him! ALL I CAN SAY IS MIKE THANKS,,, THAT YOU WERE A PART OF MY LIFE..YOU know a book can be wrote of this man's life...Thats for another day!! My respects to the Trotta family May he REST IN PEACE!!!! Again thanks MIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mike ran one of the last true Chicago bars. His character can't be duplicated or replaced. We enjoyed many good times talking with him and solved many world problems of politics and religion... We'll miss him and you are in our thoughts and prayers.
