Shields, Michael Roy "Mike" 67, of Wauconda, IL, at rest February 4, 2014. Beloved husband of Marsha (nee Rubjerg) Shields; loving father of David, Peter, Sarah, Rachel (Ryan) Jacobsen, Deborah, Elizabeth (Jonathan) Palm, Timothy, Julia (Adam) Jester, Claudia (Brian) Robinson, Jonathan, Paul, and Joanna; beloved "Poppy" of Christian, Kaila, Nicholas, Michael, Dylan, Grace, Samuel, Roy, Cy, Brandon, Jaden, Jack, and his favorite caboose, Evan; devoted son of the late Lorraine and Roy Shields; devoted son-in-law to Marjorie and the late Eiler Rubjerg, Jr.; dear brother of Laurie, Scott, Barbie, Brian, Pat, and Christie; dear brother-in-law to Nancy, Vivian, Phil, Ross, Susan, Dan, Lisa and Tim; and kind uncle to many nieces and nephews. He worked in tool and die, real estate, and retail. He loved mystery novels, composing music for refreshing the spirit and had a passion for model trains. Visitation with the family at 10:00 a.m. Memorial service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Christ Church Lake Forest, 100 N. Waukegan Road, Lake Forest. We thank God for his life.
