Dear Denise and Mike,

I just wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you both and Mikey on this first anniversary. Having been thru ours just one month ago, I have some idea of how you are feeling today. Dear Denise and Mike,

This journey of LOSS we share together is one of great heartache but also a shining example of strength as we make our way through this first year of grief. I only just realized our sons lives ended exactly one month apart, Jon on March 24th, Mikey on April 24th- wakes and funerals on the 27th & 28th of each month respectively. As I remember Jon on the 24th of each month with a special prayer, etc, I will now include Mikey and both of you in my rememberances. I'm very sorry for the circumstances under which we had to meet, but very grateful for our meeting. I admired your courage as you shared your story and grief with our group. Only another parent could understand this road we travel. Thank you for helping me through this part of the journey. You are in my thoughts and prayers, as is Mikey. Although his journey through life was short, he was a loyal and loving son as well as a great friend to many. His quick wit and great sense of humor made life fun. He will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. Mike was a great guy. Lots of fun memories playing with the "kids on the block" so many years ago!
