O'Connell, Michael G. After a lifelong battle with juvenile diabetes, Michael Gerard O'Connell, 58, surrounded by his family, passed on November 9. Michael is celebrated by his loving parents, Tim and Rosemary (nee O'Brien); siblings, Kathleen (Richard) Kirley, Tim, Patrick, Dan (Erin), Bill, Maureen (Jim) Schroeder, Kevin and Jimmy (Michelle); nieces and nephews, Josh and Brendan Kirley, Alec, Kylie, Katie, Sean, Liam, Danny, Rory and Riley; and many aunts, uncles and cousins here and in Ireland. Michael's big heart was expressed in his generosity toward others and love of animals. His interest in medicine and the sciences fueled his curious mind. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, at Adolf Funeral Home, 2921 Harlem Ave., Berwyn. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 14, at St. Leonard Church, 3318 Clarence Ave., Berwyn. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
