Michael McLaughlin Obituary
McLaughlin, Michael P. "Mac", Marine Corps. Veteran., passed away Tuesday, February 20th surrounded by family and friends after a very courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Margaret (nee Matz), loving father of Michael and Mathew, dearest brother of Edward (Susan), and Patrick (Kathleen) McLaughlin, son of the late Edward and Mary (nee Rafferty), fond uncle of Kathleen, Kelly, Ryan, Sean, Kyle, Brian, and Patrick McLaughlin, and Kimberly Amor, and Renee Matz. Funeral Saturday, 9:15 a.m. from Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien, to Divine Savior Church, Mass 10 a.m. Interment Clarendon Hills Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Thomas Hospice or American Cancer Society would be appreciated. 630-852-3595.

I was a co-worker with Michael downtown. Michael was a wonderful person, very friendly and always had a smile on his face. He always had a cheerful greeting when he met you and would help you in anyway that he could. He will be missed. My sympathies and prayers are with the McLaughlin family.

Mike was a wonderful friend and coworker. We sat side-by-side for several years, and I truly enjoyed working with him. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, and I'm sure I speak for many people here at work when I say that Mike will truly be missed.
