What a great man. He and my Dad, Jimmy Gioia, had the distinct honor of both being Italian police officers on Normal Ave. For some reason most of them were Irish. Loved being neighbors back in the good old days of Bridgeport. All of our parents are now sitting on the front porches of heaven. We were all blessed to have had such giving parents . . . lots of love, lots of good food . . . lots of fond memories. Love, Gail Gioia Lakatos Now residing in Venice, Florida

Dear Karen and family my sincere sympathy for the loss of your Father. Going back and remembering all the good times we shared. We were young but still remembering. We used to live across the street from your Grandmothers house and my Mom and Dad were always sitting outside. Mrs Scalzo had the store. Well now my Mom and Dad will be together talking about the good old days. Love to the Marano And Pintaro Families.

Each of us is sent here to do a job. When Mike met Jesus at the gates, Jesus patted him on the back and said "well done Son, well done, welcome home!" It doesn't get easier, just more familiar but some comfort is found in the fact that he, directly or indirectly, touched so many lives. Lives that will carry a piece of him with them forever.
