Michael Lambert Obituary

My deepest sympathy to the Lambert family. I was Michaels roomate for 5 years. I was there when he expierenced his first earthquake. And we road out the big Northridge Earthquake together. We golfed together and road our motorcycles all over CA and neiboring states.. It is October 21, 2008 I just learned of his passing.I moved away in 1996 to start a family and would talk to him Quite often. as years passed the talks came not so often and eventually wound up being an e-mail sent about twice a year. It saddens me to find out of his passing so late, and not to have kept our lines of communication more frequent. My heart is heavy and I will miss him very much.

I am speechless to hear that Michael has passed away. Sadness is an understatement growing up as a neighborhood friend. Michael was a fun kid to have as a neighbor. We (Lambert, Frishman, Weiss, Lasky and Addis) had a lot of fun together and got into trouble from time to time. I wish we had stayed in contact, and I had heard that he was doing great things in the sound and lighting industry and it was nice hearing all the great words from his LA friends about what he was doing since leaving JoAnne Dr. in Glenview where we all grew up. My thoughts are with your family.

Michael Lambert, better known as "Rambo" in the lighting world, passed away on Feb 7 in Los Angeles. Michael started his lighting career in the clubs of Chicago including the Thirsty Whale. Mike worked with several of the bands from the area during the 80's, most notably, Paradoxx. He moved out to LA at the end of the 80's to pursue touring work with Electrotec Sound and Lighting, touring with the likes of Barbara Mandrell and Rick Springfield. He then moved on to video lighting during the MTV years working with many international bands such as Aerosmith. Lately, he was working in the TV industry where he was the lighting board operator for "24" and most recently, "Dirt". Michael, we will miss you deeply. I think Jimi could use a good LD tho.

I was honored with the chance to work with Michael on "Dirt". Michael was a good man. We had many laughs during our long work days. He had a great sense of humor. It will not be the same with out him. I will hold all of you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I hope you have found peace, ease and comfort. I will miss you , my friend, my fellow, my brother. I love you Michael.

I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Michael on Dirt. I'll miss his raspy matter-of-fact way of saying things and that smile and 'hey E, how ya' doin'' that greeted me in the morning.

It's was such a shock to hear of Rambos passing.

I met Michael many years ago on set and had the pleasure of working with him again on "Dirt". It was great to work with him again and joke about the early days. My deepest condolences to his family.

My deepest sympathy to all of your loved ones through this difficult time. Michael and I didn't interact on a regular basis, however, I was grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him. He was a kind man and he will be missed. Please accept my thoughts and prayers to your family at this time.

I will fondly remember our conversations...always on a positive note...a lovely man...I am grateful to have known him.

I guess enough time has passed to get over the initial shock. Now the sadness has crept in. Michael and I connected not only on the set, but on the golf course as well. We were suposed to play in the past few weeks... He was a good man, and a good friend. I will- and do- miss him terribly. Please accept my heartfelt condolences and sincere wishes for God's peace for all his family and friends.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Michael's family during this difficult time. Billy worked with him for many years and as his Bestboy on his last shows. He took Billy under his wing, believed in him and taught him so much. They were very close friends. We will always remember Michael as the thoughtful and caring person that he was; a man of integrity and strength. He had a great sense of humor and a good spirit. We miss him very much.

I had the great pleasure of working with Michael for the past two seasons. No matter how difficult things got down on the set, he always made me laugh. He was a good, decent man. I'm thankful for getting to know him. So sorry for your loss.

Deepest condolences to the entire Lambert and extended families. I grieve with you every step of the way in this difficult time, as Michael was my dear friend and will be sorely missed. You all must be incredibly wonderful people to have produced such a dynamic soul as Michael. It is said that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Thank you for bringing him into this world. My deepest sympathies go out to the family. I went to Maple Junior High with Mike. It was so great to see him a few years ago when we had our 25th reunion. I remember having a terrible crush on him in 7th grade. He will be missed.

Dear Lambert Family:
I was shock and sadden to hear about Michael's passing. He will always be remembered as a kind, smart, and funny person as well as a very talented gaffer. We worked together on "Dirt" and being a Jew and an Israeli myself, we always found great humor (Although cynical at times) in our roots and heritage. My heart goes out to the entire Lambert family. I know my cousin, Michael, will be greatly missed by all.

Mikes positive, fun personality always made everyone smile. He'll be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him.

We will miss Michael. I think back on many memories of all of us cousins at holidays, vacations and more recently when Michael would come to visit Chicago. Michael was always so interested in what everyone was doing, their health and just curiousity about our everyday lives. He had a way of making all of us feel comfortable whether it was with his quick wit or just his gentle nature. He will truly be missed.
