I knew Mike from St Clement's Church when I lived there 20 years ago. I remember him as a kind and loving man with a beautiful voice. My deepest sympathy to the Kelly family during your time of sorrow.

I first met Mike when I was joining the Catholic Church at St.Clements and he was one of the people in charge of the RCIA program. His strong sense of faith in God and the Church helped all of us through unsure times .He had a deep sense of compassion for others at St. Clements and always went out of his way to make you feel welcome. He was a great man who always gave and never asked for anything in return . He'll be sadly missed at St. Clements and in our community .He was one of the good ones.

I had the please of working with Mike Kelly for a number of years in the Attorney General's Office. He was a bright, gifted and down to earth attorney and individual. When he became a judge, he was unphased by his appointment. He always had a smile on his face and took the time to say a kind word. His passing is a great loss to the legal community.

The judiciary, the legal community and the citizens of Cook County all share the loss of Judge Kelly. A man of integrity and faith, a jurist with an abiding sense of justice, he will truly be missed by his family, friends and colleagues. Please accept my deepest sympathies.
