Cousin Mike
You are missed! It seems like yesterday when I last seen you at Our Lady of Good Council remodeling the basement with my brother Jimmy. You were your natural self, a kind word, great smile, joking with my son Seamus on why he would want to work for that guy (Uncle Jimmy Mac)! He enjoyed meeting his second cousin with the long hair in the ponytail. The gentlesness of your spirit lives on Michael. It seems part of the McNamara legacy that only the good die young... It gives me great comfort knowing that you rest with family that have gone before us, ever so young and tragically; MaryAnn and baby Billy, Uncle Jim McNamara, Michael McNamara, Katherine McNamara and you, Michael (McNamara) Haupt
Rest in Peace Mike
I love you

I can't believe its been a year since you've been gone. Whenever I think about you I remember the goofy and funny things, like the white spandex pants you bought and how you're mom was scared the police would pick you up for indecent exposure and the Billy Ray Cyrus haircut you had in the 80s that made all the girls ga ga over you. But I also remember what a sensitive person you were and how you cared so much about every member of your family. We are missing you Mikey.
Love always, Your sis-in-law Barb

Uncle Mike, you are the best Uncle a nephew could ever ask for. I will never forget anytime we had a family BBQ or get together and everyone would always be asking where you were at or when you were coming. Then you would show up and have everyone around you laughing for hours. You are one of the funniest people I've ever met and I will never forget how much you used to make our family laugh. You will never be forgotten. Love Bryan(aka butthead, aka chainsaw teeth, aka four eyes...You had a lot of nicknames for me I guess)

Uncle Mike I always remember hearing your car coming around the corner and running to the window to yell "Mikes Here", you always came in picked me up and threw me in the air and tapped my tummy and said "PINK BELLY, PINK BELLY". But what I remember the most is the St.Patricks Day when my mommy and daddy had a big party and it was the end of the night and nobody could get me to sleep but you picked me up and we laid down together on the couch and off I went to sleep. I will miss you Uncle Mike, but never will I ever forget you! Love you always, Timothy David XXXOOO

MARY GEARY

April 21, 2009

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Mike will always hold a special place in my heart, he would always make me smile with a goofy joke or some quick witted comeback, and I am deeply saddened by his passing.
