Thinking of you every day even though I don't go to the cemetery you are part of my life every day I often ask myself what would dad do or see something and say dad would like this. I also see the impact and influence that you have bestowed on our kids. You would be Proud!
I just want to say that I miss you just as much today as I did 11 years ago.

May 17, 2017

Hi Dad,
Its been 10 years since you left Many things have changed in that time both good and not so good but as this family has grown I look at all the kids and see a little bit of you in each one of them.
Soon everyone will be on there way to building there own families and I hope we can take some of the wisdom and experience that you have shared with us and pass it on to them and guide them as you did with us. I Still think of you pretty much every day and I often ask myself what would dad do or I see something and say wow dad would have really liked that. And hey if you did not get a chance to watch The Cubs actually won a World Series Well Till next time I just wanted to say Thank You and let you know I Really Miss You

I can't believe that ten years have passed already. I always picture you standing with me in your Marine uniform when I was just 2 or 3 in front of our apartment on Tripp St. Then my mind goes to many years later, you sitting at my kitchen table, drawing pictures with Anthony. I truly miss the relationship we would have had as older adults these past years. Stories we would have shared, a Route 66 trip we talked about taking and the joys of watching your grandchildren reach for the stars and their goals. You're in my prayers every night, and I know you are a guardian angel to all of us here who love and miss you so much.

You're always in my heart.❤

It has been 9 years and still are hearts are hurting.

We all miss you so much.

I watch a tv show and want to call you to talk about it. I go to the movies and know you would like it too.

I get sad and want to call, but you won't answer.

No one understands my loss and feelings.

I will never forget what we had. It was ours and and ours alone.

Love always ..

Shelly

I kept telling you for over 2/1/2 weeks, something is wrong, your cough was more than a cough. You kept reassuring me it would go away, it was nothing. April 15, 2007, we went out with Darrell and Cindy and the kids for their birthdays. We had a nice early lunch, it was great to be together. Came back to your house, Cory and Cyndi met us there to drop off Rex, they were taking a short vacation. I looked at you and your lips were blue, told the kids and they all agreed. Something was wrong ...... we all took you to the emergency room, you were admitted. I promised you would be fine and go home, that never happened. From April 15 to May 17, our world fell apart. Our kids, our grandchildren, you never came home!!! I miss you each and every day, my phone rings, but it is not you. Our sons miss you, our grandchildren. Why did you leave? It has been two years, and still I have no answers.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.
