I just learned of Mike's death. I last saw him in 2013 at our 40th Marist Class Reunion. I remember him as one of the nicest guys in the class. I am sorry to hear that he is no longer with us.

We spoke in his last days. I sent texts often and when he could, he'd answer the phone. I left a few messages on his voicemail hoping someone would read them to him. Love, whether heard or felt when you're vulnerable, is a gift. So, when I'd called a few times and sent a few unreturned messages I thought it best to check the internet for notice of his passing. From the coconut palms of Bali, Indonesia to the beauty of Chicago's south side, I send the family of Mike Drew the gift of love and understanding energy. He'll never be forgotten.

I just learned Mike had passed away after receiving the deceased alumni letter from Marist HS. Also knew Mike from St. Catherine, and he was my brother in blue on the CPD. Very saddened by this news and may Mike Rest In Peace.

I´m so sorry! Mike was an outstanding guy, friend, police officer and football player! Worked with him at Romeo´s Pizza in Oak Lawn throughout high school. He dated my neighbor three doors down in St. Linus parish for quite some time in high school. He was an outstanding wide receiver on the varsity at Marist as well with sprinter speed! So sorry to lose such a great guy.

Mike was a regular in the 10 sector of 018 for many years, a quiet and mellow guy. He will be missed by all that worked with him and whose lives he touched along the way.
Rest in peace, Brother.
