I am a nurse at Church Creek and had the honor of getting to know Michael during his stay with us. In spite of the horific pain he was in he was never without a smile and a cheerful greeting. The news of his passing spread a great sadness over all of us who were fortunate enough to get to know him. Mike...you will be missed.

Mike enjoyed a good laugh and he got plenty working on the Bozo show. I still remember him filling the flashpot with so much flash powder that it blew the heavy wooden top off the stove...it flew about 10 feet in the air...and shocked the heck out of Bozo. Mike also liked pulling practical jokes. One time he told our switchboard operator at work some ridiculous rumor...and then he waited to see how long it would take for the rumor to get back to him as the "gospel truth".
I will always remember him as a gentle giant.

Dear family of Michael Cusack,
I work at Northwest Community Hospital as a Diet Aide and one of my duties is to prepare the patients for their breakfast and lunch meals. I did this many times for Michael. He was one of the kindest people I had the pleasure to serve.
I was saddened to hear that he passed away and wanted to extend my condolences to you.
May God give you strength and comfort in the days ahead.
Sincerely,
Bruce Kroll
