Melvin Trager Obituary
Trager, Melvin G. 84, beloved husband of Betty (nee Itzkowitz) for 60 years, loving father of Dr. Gary (Linda) Trager, Liz (Scott) Mendel and Roberta (Don) Wells, cherished grandpa of Jeremy, Talia and Amy Trager and Sarah and Jessica Trager-Mendel, fond brother of Selma (the late Sam) Hyman and the late Leonard (Dorothy) Trager, loving uncle and friend of many. Synagogue service Thursday, 11 a.m., at Temple Jeremiah, 937 Happ Road, Northfield, IL. Interment at Shalom Memorial Park, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Misericordia, 6300 N. Ridge Ave., Chicago, IL 60660. I just found out about Mel. I was searching for another obituary, my mother-in-law just passed away a few days ago. It's been 20 years but I still remember Mel, he was a good man and always nice to me. Sorry for your loss, hope everyone else is okay. I just wanted to express my condolences to the family of Melvin Trager. I remember him fondly and well when you lived on Artesian across from the Malkins and I would visit with Gary. Although it has been many years, those wonderful memories remain. Sincerely, Mark Nozette.
