Channon, Mayer Hirsch 86, Past President, Chicago Chapter, PFLAG, and founding member of Niles Township Jewish Congregation, Skokie. Beloved husband of the late Vivian (nee Williams), devoted father of David (Robin) Channon, Dr. Robert Channon (Leslie Jellinek), Brian (Jan) Channon and Mitchell Channon (Bruce Koff), loving grandfather of Benjamin, Aaron, Eleanor (Anis), Rebecca, Alison, Rachel and Daniel, great-grandfather of Rania, dear brother of the late Marvin (the late Helen) Channon, loving uncle to many nieces and nephews, son of the late Benjamin and Mollie (nee Lustgarten) Channon. Funeral services Tuesday, 1:00 p.m., at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St.), Skokie. Interment Shalom Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mayer's name to The Selfhelp Home, 908 W. Argyle, Chicago, IL 60640, or NA'Amat/USA Pioneer Women, 8707 N. my favorite memory of uncle mike is when i was a young teen and we were mutual cubbie fans and he would quiz me in their basement, on all the stats of the players. and then he would grin from ear to ear and say HOLY COW
