Maxine Hopson Obituary

HOPSON, MAXINE LAVONNE—age 73 of Knoxville, died at 12:25 a.m. Friday, September 17, 2004, at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. Member of Clapps Chapel United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by husband, James H. Hopson, Sr.; and son, Gary W. Hopson.

Survivors: sons, James H. Hopson, Jr. and wife Melody, Joel C. Hopson and wife Lisa, Tony Hopson and wife Betsy; grandchildren, Ricky Jones and wife Michelle, Clint Jones and wife Sandy, Trinity Hall and husband Jason, Wayne Hopson, Stefanie Hopson, Josh and Jake Hopson, Paul, Sam and Rachel Hopson; great-grandchildren, Caleb Hall, Savannah Jones, Elijah Jones, Tevin Jones, Brooklyn Jones; mother, Esta Angle of Swea City, IA; sisters: Bev Peplinski of Erie, PA, Janice Schneider of Burt, IA; sisters and brothers in law: June and Leo Schmall of Marion IA, Kate and Ed Osborne of Merced, CA, Pat Cousins and Keith of Rochester, MN; brother and sister in law, Jack and Diane Angle of Swea City, IA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21 at Stevens Chapel. Rev. David Smith officiating.

Family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, September 22 at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service and interment. Pallbearers: Jake Hopson, Josh Hopson, Jason Hall, Clint Jones, Ricky Jones, and Wayne Hopson.



The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Ave. at N. Broadway.

My family and I have good memories of your mother and of your father.



We lived on the same street in Powell and attended the same church. We played kick-ball and other games in my parent's front yard.
